So where were we..? That’s right, we were going to talk about MOD4. Enough of the suspense and let’s get straight to the point: what prompted us to create this game-app?
We already touched upon it in the MOD4 M4NIFESTO article but there is much more to know and we’re about to reveal everything!
At this point, you already know that MOD4 is in official partnership with LuisaViaRoma. This means that all the items you use to participate in Challenges on the app, or which you try in the Wishlist, come directly from the LVR website. So MOD4 is not only a way for you to enjoy time spent playing the game and honing your talent as a stylist, it also helps you as a (virtual) shopping assistant! You don’t even need to thank us ̶ we already know how much you love us.
Clothing your avatar with the items you’d like to buy, it’s definitely an extra help in understanding how they would fit on you. A great advantage, especially now that virtual shopping is an integral part of our lives.
It is precisely for this reason that we have the challenge of how to make shopping easier. Offering quality items that can be shipped to any corner of the globe is no longer enough. It’s increasingly difficult to ignore the need for a complete service that goes beyond the repetition of browsing a virtual catalog with only your imagination to help you guess how a particular pair of jeans or a shirt would fit you.
While MOD4 isn’t a complete solution yet (although we’re working on it!), it does come pretty close. It may not offer you a virtual dressing room in Augmented Reality to try on items remotely, but it provides you with an avatar that does it for you.
There is still a long way to go and many features to be added in order to make the experience as real as possible, but if in the meantime you’re wondering how Alexander McQueen sneakers are worn, then voilà, this you can see with your own eyes and have a lot of fun while doing it!
